A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

About

Hello and welcome to The Cooking Wardrobe.  My name is Elsie Davies, 40+ originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, now living in Australia, with the hubs, Gabriel, two boys and two budgies called Trixie and Lexie. The boys I will refer to from time to time on this blog by their age "Twenty-four" and "Ten" (obviously this will change every year).

I love cooking but hardly follow recipes, so I have become really good at winging it. My friends call me the winging queen. I also love reading and have a bit of an interest in fashion.

I found this blog so I can showcase some of my Sierra Leonean recipes and also try my hand on other recipes from around the world. I will also show a few of my style choices. So hop on by following my blog and let's do this together, after all, its a learning process.

  5. Hi Elsie!! Although I never blog about it, cooking is one of my passions!! I am blessed to have a few mentors, including my ex-husband's mother who incorporated traditional "soul food" with Caribbean influences (my former father-in-law was from Jamaica). As I get older, I like adding more to my repertoire, and like you, it's all by feel. I can't wait to explore some of your recipes! So glad to find your blog. XXOO
